Hasaan Hates Portland

began as a web series in 2024 and quickly attracted a large audience. Racking up millions of views between clips and full episodes, the eight-part series skewers America’s whitest and weirdest city through the eyes of its protagonist, Hasaan.

Directed by Mischa Webley, the show went on to win the top prize for web series at the Oscar-qualifying film festival Hollyshorts.

Now we’re making a feature film.

One day. One man. Dozens of weirdos.

When Hasaan, a depressed single dad, is suddenly evicted from his home, it sets off a bizarre series of events that follow him throughout a day as he tries to get his life back on track.

But when his well-meaning neighbors launch a protest to save his home, he’s suddenly thrust into the spotlight as the reluctant hero who accidentally becomes the face of a movement.

The film is a wild, chaotic, fun, satirical, and absolutely original ride that depicts the city and its inhabitants in a way that has never been seen before, and that people in every “blue-ish” city will relate to.
